It's official! The King of Wines reigns in Santa Barbara County!
The 2006 Santa Barbara Commercial Wine Competition turned out to be a smashing success! There were some excellent wines and quite a few wineries that had the privelage of taking home double gold medals. McKeon-Phillips was proud to recieve a double gold medal for our outstanding 2001 Cabernet Franc. We also took quite a few other medals including a silver for our 2002 Chardonnay - Lot "GC". A few other wineries that were added to the esteemed double gold list include Addamo, Byron, Costa De Oro, Lucas Lewellen, and others. The Best of Show award for red wine went to Byron's 2003 Pinot Noir and the Best Of Show award for white wine went to Costa De Oro's 2003 Chardonnay. McKeon-Phillips just recieved a few more medals from the esteemed Orange County Wine Competition. We are very pleased to announce our delicious 2004 Sir Winston Port won a Silver Medal! The 2002 Leonardo also took a bronze medal in the Italian blend category. In additon, Ardison's Cabernet Franc Label just won an award in the Orange County Label competiton.
